DHL Global Mail delivers standard and priority mail on major international trade lanes faster than its competitors on most of the links tested and has significantly improved its own transit times, according to an Ipsos survey.
Survey results show that DHL Global Mail cut transit times for standard and priority mail by 2.4 days on average compared to 2004 when the previous survey was conducted last time. In addition, DHL Global Mail is faster than its global competitors on most links and also often beats its own service commitment.
On the trade lanes tested in the survey, DHL Global Mail is, again on average, more than one day faster than all other tested global competitors.
Furthermore, a comparison of the survey results with the service commitment on the DHL Global Mail web side reveals, that DHL Global Mail continuously delivers its mail on average more than one day faster than promised to its customers.
The four-week survey used a total volume of 10,351 test mail items to measure the international transit times of major service providers. The transit times of business priority and standard mail were surveyed on 73 links, with mail items sent by corporate mystery shoppers from Europe (Austria, The Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Germany, United Kingdom) and Asia (Singapore, Australia) to selected European and worldwide destinations.
The pick-up was arranged and test mail pieces were sent continuously during the survey. A trained test customer panel then reported the receipt of the test items.
Moreover, apart from this survey, DHL Global Mail is having its transit times tested independently on a regular base in order to ensure the high quality level offered to its customers.
