Parcelforce Worldwide has been forced to apologise to customers after personal data, including signatures of recipients, were exposed on their website.

Parcelforce Worldwide has been forced to apologise to customers after personal data, including signatures of recipients, were exposed on their website.

A BBC investigation discovered that a failure in their system allowed people using their delivery tracking service access to names, addresses and signatures.

The problem, which occurred after computer work was carried out on 17-18 June, has now been rectified, with Parcelforce apologising to customers.

A spokesman for Parcelforce Worldwide told the BBC: “We can confirm that the fault was rectified and the service restored on Thursday night 18 June]. We apologise to customers for any inconvenience caused.”
