Correos offers a new service for sending remittances to Morocco

The Spanish postal services provider has extended its offer of services aimed at immigrants. The urgent international money order to Morocco is a new service resulting from an agreement signed by the postal company with Morocco Post.

The service is already operational in over 2,250 of  Correos’ multiservice post offices and in almost 1,000 post offices in Morocco.

This service could be of benefit to the more than 500,000 Moroccans who are currently living in Spain and to all the citizens who send money to this country or from it to Spain.

The Spanish operator is currently recording an average of 800 operations a month, and reaching an average of 2,500 is foreseen for the end of the year. This money order from Spain costs EUR 4.95 plus a variable percentage on the amount sent.

Correos claims that the immigrants market is a priority for Correos. It currently offers specifically designed products and services such as money sent in minutes; rates with special discounts for parcels and remittances; BanCorreos financial products (Libreta Postal Futuro savings account); mortgages; and microloans.
