Airborne takes off with a new 1030 hrs next-day express delivery option under its wing

Airborne Express has launched a new 1030 hrs next-day express delivery option with a performance guarantee, unique in the parcel industry.

This means that Airborne customers requiring delivery earlier than the current `next morning by noon’ express deadline may now choose the earlier 1030 hrs option, with a guarantee that they will only be billed a US$5 surcharge when their package is delivered by the deadline.

Carl Donaway, president and chief operating officer, said: “Our employees’ performance in meeting our regular next morning by noon express delivery deadline has been so exceptional that we can confidently offer this unprecedented guarantee. We know we can deliver on our promise for this new service without incurring any substantial additional operating costs.”

Basically the new 1030 hrs option gives Airborne customers the choice of earlier delivery with the assurance that they pay only for the service that they need and receive.

Mr Donaway added: “Our competitors offer an earlier delivery commitment on all shipments, but customers shouldn’t be forced to pay that rate if the shipment doesn’t need to be delivered until noon. Along with our new 1030 hrs delivery option and the next morning by noon delivery service, customers can now achieve cost savings by selecting the type of service they truly need.”
