Banque Postale in talks to buy Tocqueville Finance

The companies said in a joint statement they aimed to reach a deal as soon as possible.
France’s Banque Postale is in talks to acquire control of Tocqueville Finance, an independent French fund management company which had 1.5bn euros ($2.1bn) of assets under management at the end of 2008, reports Reuters.

They did not give any details concerning financial elements.

La Banque Postale is a division of France’s state-owned Post Office.
