Banque Postale: Consumer Credit Unit To Start Operations In 1Q ’10

French bank La Banque Postale said its new consumer credit unit will launch its products on the market in the first quarter of next year.
The unit, called La Banque Postale Financement, will be 35%-owned by Societe Generale SA, France’s second largest bank by market value, and 65%-owned by La Banque Postale, the banking unit of France’s state postal service La Poste, La Banque Postale said in a statement.
