DHL launches LA-Tianjin service

DHL has launched a new direct LCL service from Los Angeles direct to Xingang-Tianjin, Eye for Transport reports. The article continues:

The route is in addition to two other new greater China services launched this year, between Chicago and Hong Kong and New York and Taiwan (Keelung).

Operated by DHL’s in-house carrier, Danmar Lines, the new weekly service eliminates the need for a stopover en route in Hong Kong – enabling a reduction of up to one week in journey time.

From Xingang-Tianjin, shipments can be further distributed within northern China to cities such as Beijing, Xi’an, Shijiazhuang, Qinhuangdao, Taiyuan, Datong and Baotou. Within the United States, California is the largest exporter of goods and commodities to China.
