Spanish entrepreneur to create ViaPostal

According to European news sources, “Spanish entrepreneur Luis Sans has received the backing of Spanish bank Banco Popular to create ViaPostal, a postal service in which Mr Sans and Banco Popular will each have a 50 per cent stake. The new company aims to challenge the monopoly currently held by Spanish postal group Correos, with the aim of acquiring a 40 per cent stake of the deregulated postal market by 2005
