“Despite the current Royal Mail strikes our Wellbeing shoppers are still receiving their orders on time”, says Mark Knowles, head of fulfilment at Wellbeing.com.
Wellbeing’s fulfilment specialist, MetaPack is re-routing all new orders for delivery to affected areas via alternative carriers without manual intervention. MetaPack’s multi-carrier set-up combined with the real-time integration of order, warehouse, carrier and contact centre management systems enables this.
For customer orders despatched to affected areas prior to the dispute, MetaPack is able to identify these orders enabling Wellbeing to make alternative arrangements with customers, where necessary.

Wellbeing shoppers are expecting excellent service from Boots, the most trusted retail brand in the UK, and that’s what they’re getting”.
Four carriers provide delivery services for Wellbeing. Letterbox size consignments and two day, next day and Saturday deliveries are handled by Royal Mail, Business Express, Securicor Omega Express and Parcel Force respectively. Orders affected by the current action are being re-routed through Securicor Omega Express and Business Express.
MetaPack’s fulfilment solution for Wellbeing was launched in March 2001.
MetaPack provides fulfilment for goods ordered through multiple channels.
