Hays takes action against Belgian post office

Hays takes action against Belgian post office (La societe britannique Hays depose plainte contre la Poste)
From LE SOIR, May 25th, 2001
The UK courier company Hays has complained to the European Commission over the alleged anti-competitive practices of its competitor on the Belgian business mail market, the Belgian post office (La Poste). Specifically, it accuses La Poste of having cut the price of its traditional mail service – on which it has a monopoly – for customers who agree to sign up to its new business mail service, which was launched in 2000. However, La Poste spokesman Fred Lens claims that his organisation has so far received no information on Hays’ grievances from the European Commission. The UK company claims that this should happen in the next few days.
