DHL Bahrain achieves top score in TAPA certification

DHL has again achieved the maximum score of 100% in the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) security audit for its network operations in Bahrain, reports Eye for Transport. The article continues:

The DHL Express Bahrain Hub has received the highest security international certification, continuing the company’s outstanding TAPA certification history in the Middle East while setting new records in security standards.

According to Gary Kemp, managing director of DHL Express Middle East, North Africa & Turkey, DHL was the first express and logistics company in the region to receive the TAPA certification in 2006.

DHL’s Bahrain-based Middle East Air Network operates ten aircraft serving at least 14 cities, including Dubai, Jeddah and Kuwait. DHL recently enhanced its air cargo network with the introduction of Boeing 777F aircraft that not only boost the company’s on-time performance but also increase environmental efficiency.

In Bahrain, DHL has been growing its share of Time Definite International (TDI) Express services fuelled by the region’s growth in the financial and automotive sectors and the need for companies to deliver new products to the markets and grow their business footprint within the region.
