Qatar appointment for DHL’s Kearvell

DHL has appointed Daniel Kearvell as the new general manager of DHL Express Qatar. In his new role, Kearvell will oversee the strategic development of DHL Express’ operations in Qatar, a key performing market for DHL in the Middle East region, while building on the company’s existing focus on delivering customer service excellence.

DHL Express Qatar celebrates 30 years of operations this year. Recently, several investments have been made to reinforce its market leader position in the express and logistics industry in the country. Currently, DHL Express Qatar operates four offices in Doha. The company’s capabilities are reinforced by business operations which have achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification for quality management.

Kearvell said: “The Gulf countries have been a driver of growth in recent years for DHL Express Middle East, North Africa and Turkey, with Qatar at the forefront due to the excellent connectivity to our extensive global network. While we recognise that the current economic environment has its challenges, there are still plenty of growth opportunities for businesses in Qatar.”

“I am delighted that we are bringing in Daniel’s management skills and experiences to further develop our business in Qatar,” said Garry Kemp, managing director, DHL Middle East, North Africa and Turkey.
