Estonian Post receives ISO 9001 certificate

Estonian Post has been awarded an ISO 9001 certificate after being found to conform to international standards and best practices. “Changes related to post offices all over Estonia, and were therefore very extensive,” explained board member Aavo Kärmas. “Document management was reorganised and transferred to the electronic environment. In addition, more training was made available for the employees to help them to get used to modern operating principles. Estonian Post’s efforts to enhance the quality of management and services is ongoing work, we want to be better tomorrow than today.”

The improvement has already has had a positive effect on company results – in 2009 the quality of Estonian Post’s courier service (ELS) improved significantly. 98-99 out of 100 shipments were delivered on time and the rest with an average delay of less than 15 minutes.
