Hays sees book loss of 10 mln stg on sales of Spanish Mail services to MBO
From AFX EUROPE, June 19th, 2001

Hays PLC said it will take a book loss of 10 mln stg on the sale of Hays DX Express, SL, its Spanish mail services operations, to management buyout vehicle, Capital Original SL, for 500,000 stg. The book loss includes a goodwill write off of 8 mln stg.

Chairman Ronnie Frost said the disposal of this loss-making business
represents the complete withdrawal of Hays from the Spanish mail
services market. He said the group’s successful Spanish logistics
business is unaffected. slm/
