Child’s play for TNT Express

TNT Express UAE has opened a new logistics establishment in a children’s edutainment centre. Located in The Dubai Mall, KidZania is described as a “dedicated city where children work, learn, play”.

The TNT branded establishment will give children the opportunity to get hands-on experience in collecting and distributing documents, parcels and freight.

Within TNT’s new facility, not only do the children get to carry out the full distribution process, but they are also trained to handle special services, such as collecting and distributing various types of materials and handling important time critical deliveries to different locations around the mini city.

Sales and commercial director for TNT Express UAE, Mark Woodcock, said: “We are all very excited to see TNT take to the floor in KidZania. Everyone who has visited the establishment so far has been amazed by the pace of the environment and how much children seem to enjoy participating in the world of work. Out of the thousands of children who visit every day, there is a very large proportion that chooses to take on a job in distribution and we have tried to make this as true to life as possible.”

Will Edwards, governor, KidZania Dubai said: “KidZania is dedicated to providing our young visitors with unparalleled learning experiences. We are very proud to partner with TNT Express in Dubai, a leader in the logistics industry. Their participation will further enhance children’s understanding of the profession. The TNT Express establishment will provide children the opportunity to work in a courier service delivering and collecting parcels around the entire mini city.”
