Emirates Post offering “MyHome” mailboxes for villa residents

Emirates Post Group (EPG) has reported that its “MyHome” mailbox service is available to residents of selected villa communities in United Arab Emirates.

In a statement issued yesterday (18 February), EPG said: “Under this system, on application from a customer, Emirates Post Group installs a mailbox on the compound wall or near the main door of the customer’s villa.

“The box comes with separate compartments for incoming and outgoing mail. Postmen from drop mail into the box or collect outgoing mail from it, either daily or three times a week, depending on the option selected by the customer.”

Chief Commercial Officer of EPG, Mr. Ibrahim Bin Karam, commented: “We are pleased to offer this premium service in selected villa communities. This is part of our efforts to deliver mail directly to subscribers’ homes under a pilot project. We are confident that residents of these selected communities will find this service useful and convenient.”

“The MyHome service was introduced in response to the demand for door delivery of mail. It eliminates the need to drive to the post office to collect mail. MyHome brings mail to the subscriber’s doorstep, offering a great convenience.”

MyHome customers pay an annual rental fee of AED 750 for mail delivery three times a week, and AED 1250 for delivery six times a week.

Subscription to MyHome service can be done by filling a form available at all post offices or through the EPG website. The box will be installed seven days after receiving the application. Emirates Post Group will supply and install standard mail boxes.
