TNT UK plans new South East hub

TNT is planning to open a new international road hub and combined domestic South East regional sort centre in the Dartford area. In a statement sent to Post&Parcel today (19 February), TNT said that the 600,000 sq ft site is expected to open in the second quarter (Q2) of 2017.

As previously reported, TNT opened its South West “super depot” in Swindon in October.

Commenting on the plans for the South East hub,  Steve Meadows, International Network and Operations Director TNT UK International and Ireland said: ‘We’re delighted to announce this new phase of investment in our network. The Dartford area was chosen for its strong road links and proximity to the South East of England and Greater London, as well as both ferry and Eurotunnel services.’

The development is being carried out by Exton Estates, a commercial property company specialising in the development of office and industrial property in London and the South East, in partnership with CWC Group.
