An Post releases iPhone ‘app’ for Irish market

Irish operator An Post has launched an app for customers with Apple products. The An Post Mobile App lets users, track and trace that letter or parcel, find the nearest post office and calculate postage for everything from a postcard to a parcel all from their iPhone, iPad or iTouch.

The An Post app is free to download and lets users access An Post’s web services from their own device.
Already the App is ranked as the number one free Utility app in the App store in Ireland.

Customer service manager at An Post, Aidan Hughes, said: “Our existing web based services are already well used by customers and it makes sense to make them truly mobile by developing this App. Customers want this type of easily accessible real time information from us.”

The App was developed by An Post subsidiary Post Consult International (PCI).
