DMA joind FEDMA

DMA Joins European Direct Marketing (FEDMA)
August 7, 2001 — Direct Newsline: The Direct Marketing Association (DMA), New York, has joined the Federation of European Direct Marketing Associations (FEDMA). “We are delighted to join forces with FEDMA because we recognize the increasing importance of the European market in helping our members achieve growth outside the United States,” said H. Robert Wientzen, DMA president and CEO, in a statement. Wientzen continued, “Furthermore, because many of the issues that direct marketers face are the same on both sides of the Atlantic, the DMA needs to have a voice in the dialogue at the European Commission (EC) and European Parliament (EP), as it does in Washington.” Direct: “The DMA noted that Europe currently spends $94.6 billion on both business to business and consumer direct marketing, compared with the $191.6 billion spent within the United States.”
