Chauffeurs to the stars The Network Transport Group, is moving into
the freight forwarding business.

The Birmingham company, which also runs a courier service, has
acquired Route One Logistics, giving it a far stronger global presence and
creating ten jobs by the end of the year.

Route One’s existing five staff and a fleet of freight vehicles will
move to Network’s headquarters in Digbeth following the deal for an
undisclosed sum.

most prestigious chauffeur services providing cars, coaches, private jets

Diana Ross and members of the Royal family.

The company also provided transport for world leaders during the G8
Summit in Birmingham and a number of top-ranking British politicians are
regular clients.

Managing director of Network Graham Adkins said the latest acquisition
was part of a growth plan at the company, which has a turnover of pounds
1.5
million.

‘This was a strategic purchase for us to strengthen our hold in our
area of work,’ he said.

‘We are building the foundations for a future push in the New Year,
but for the moment we are entering a period of consolidation of the team
we
have taking on.’

The courier side of the business regularly transports emergency
transplant organs between hospitals and other urgently needed medical
supplies.

Its fleet of 100 vehicles includes bicycles for quick delivery around
city centres, as well as cars, vans and coaches.
