THE MINISTRY OF COMMUNICATION IS PLANNING TO RENOVATE THE RUSSIAN MAIL SERVICE

ST.PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, SEP 16, 2001 (A&G News via COMTEX) — By 2005 it is
planned to unite the state mail operators. The main idea is to create a
national mail operator in the form of a state unitary enterprise (SUE). The
changes will also include centralized management, as well as modern financial
and accounting systems. Later on the company is likely to be privatized.
