TNT Express reaches milestone in Sri Lanka

TNT Express is celebrating its 30-year anniversary in Sri Lanka today (21 June). The operator is represented in Sri Lanka by Ace International Express, the express delivery arm of the Aitken Spence Group.

Over the past three decades, TNT Express in Sri Lanka says it has witnessed many positive changes and “developmental milestones”.

The Express delivery provider has evolved from offering a limited express delivery service to a “thriving business with international scope, offering a comprehensive product line”, the company said.

Today, TNT’s workforce in the region stands at more than 150, based in 25 offices Island wide, and a fleet of more than 50 vehicles.

Tim Frank, general manager of TNT Express, Middle East and Sub-Continent, said: “The company’s track record of results and success is due to the hard work and dedication of every employee. We are now recognised as a major player in our industry ensuring customers a service that is both competitive and time guaranteed.”

Jerome Brohier, country manager of TNT Express Sri Lanka, added: “Today, we are not  delivering  just documents and small parcels, we have expanded our services to cover the most complex supply chain solutions – warehousing, inventory management, multi-modal transportation, domestic distribution and on demand delivery.

“On the occasion of our 30th partnership anniversary with TNT Express, we are pleased to donate 30 patient trolleys to general hospitals across Sri Lanka.”

What started out 30 years ago in Sri Lanka as a small company has steadily grown into a business far exceeding customers’ expectations.”
