Emirates SkyCargo Priority

Middle East-based carrier Emirates SkyCargo offers two premium service options under the
Emirates Express label launched in 1999. The first is Emirates Priority Plus which caters for time-sensitive and urgent consignments of up to 100 kilos. Cargo space for shipments using that service can be booked as late as six hours prior to flight departure. The service also offers late acceptance and the carrier’s highest loading priority. The carriers second express service is Emirates Priority.
Designed for larger shipments, if offers priority loading, late booking and late acceptance for consignments of up to 1,000kg. Airport-to-door delivery is also available to and from selected points.
One of the most recent enhancements to the Emirates Express products saw the phased introduction last year of time-definite guarantees, initially for markets in Dubai, Melbourne, Hong Kong, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur and subsequently for other points in the carrier’s network.
The carrier provides its customers with access to a standard track and trace facility. The progress of an express shipment can be followed on every stage of its journey from collection to delivery.
But of real interest to shippers and courier operators at Emirates is its top of the range, webbased SkyChain Online, which provides the customer with a real-time cargo messaging service.
This Internet-based system can put the courier or shipper, or anyone else in the logistics chain, in touch with each other. Exporters, importers, forwarders, courier companies GSAs, SkyCargo staff, in fact anyone involved in the logistics chain can use SkyChain Online to communicate via e-mail, by fax, or even mobile phone.
Also, when real-time communication is vital, the SkyChain Online option offers an indispensable online live chat facility.
