DHL joint venture with Jamaica Post

DHL JV with Jamaica Post
October 25, 2001 — “DHL Worldwide entered a joint venture to sell express
delivery services through offices of the Postal Corporation of Jamaica, a
DHL spokeswoman told Reuters. Postal Corporation of Jamaica has begun to
sell DHL services at four of its offices in Kingston, Jamaica, and ‘the goal
is for it to grow,’ said Klaire Albright of the International Americas
business unit of DHL, based in southern Florida. DHL pays a commission to
Postal Corporation of Jamaica based on its sales of DHL express services,
said Albright. Postal Corporation of Jamaica, which has posted DHL signs at
the Kingston offices where DHL express services are sold, has also
considered using its offices as outlets for sales of banking services and
lottery tickets, she said.”
