FedEx Express launches economy ground service in India
FedEx Express has launched a new domestic economy ground delivery service in India. The company said yesterday the new FedEx Economy offering will offer door-to-door, day-definite services from 116 origin cities to 262 destination cities within the world’s second most populous country.
The service comes with online tracking and proof of delivery via the FedEx website, along with a money-back guarantee.
It comes with options including Collect on Delivery, Delivery on Invoice Acceptance, Freight to Collect and Freight on Value.
FedEx said it also offers Indian businesses the ability to ship international outbound items and domestic consignments through a single account.
Kenneth F Koval, vice president of operations for FedEx Express India, said his company was leveraging the strength of its “vast” network to help drive growth and competitiveness of Indian businesses.
He said: “The deployment of FedEx Economy provides an extensive domestic portfolio offering, including both air and ground services, and underlines our commitment to offering unparalleled connectivity and seamless shipping to our customers in India.”
