Brazil: Bradesco expansion plans go beyond the Post Office

The Bradesco bank is working to be ready for the installation of its Banco Postal software, which will be installed in the Brazilian Post Office chain by the end of the year. The Banco Postal system will offer customers a range of services greater than is currently offered by the non-banking agencies who offer bill payment services. Customers will be linked to the Bradesco chain and will have access to its ATMs. Unique low-cost services will be offered only in the Banco Popular chain. Bradesco is also looking for opportunities to offer its services in supermarkets, including the giant Pao de Acucar chain. This decentralization of services outside of the bank’s regular network is also expected to improve services for customers in its branches.
