Palletways signs four members to 10-year extensions
UK-based express transport network Palletways has signed 10-year deals extending the memberships of four of its members. The company said the agreements with Caledonian Logistics, Frederick R Miller, Andover Transport and Rase Distribution represent a “signifiant success” in its efforts to grow market share in the UK and mainland Europe.
The Palletways network has more than 100 members, comprising independent transportation companies providing express delivery services including next-day, economy and timed delivery options. Members share resources to ship small consignments across the UK, Ireland and western Europe.
The network founded in 1994 currently handles around 21,000 pallets each day through 280 depots and nine hubs.
Martyn Young, managing director of Palletways, said the network was “delighted” the four members had signed up for another 10 years.
“We are committed to providing a top class service for our member companies and supporting them in their business development,” he said.
“The fact that these four highly reputable companies have been with our network for a large number of years and have extended for another 10 is testimony to this overriding commitment. It is also reassuring for our customers, who will benefit from dealing with their same local Palletways provider.”
