Weight – heavier means more expensive
Size – volumetric tariffs
Value – duty incurred, import more complex
Commodity – contents compliance (more info to follow)
Adds up to the customer experience in terms of efficiency of delivery and perceived value of that delivery.
Delivery cost has to be in line with the order value.
