Defence Transport Movement Agency (DTMA) wins contract with Exel

The Defence Transport Movement Agency (DTMA), a division of the Minstry of Defences Defence Logistics Organisation, has awarded Exel a contract to operate additional global, export air business, following a contract last september to manage customs clearence on its behalf, as well as 50 percent of its air freight business. Exel has now been awared the entire export air freight business, in addition to continuing to handle the import customs clearence for a futher 18 months. The total contract is valued in the region of £2 million annually and is primarily co-ordinated at Exels Heathrow office, with further staff based at RAF Lyneham and RAF Brize Norton.
