Reverse logistics specialist Cycleon opens Singapore office

Reverse logistics specialists Cycleon has opened a new office in Singapore in order to develop its services across the Asia-Pacific region. The Netherlands-based company that provides end-to-end returns services for some of the world’s largest online retailers and European electronics manufacturers sees the region as the next major step for its global expansion.

Cycleon will be using its in-house IT network to link the “best in class” logistics networks across the region, it said this week.

Ernst Hoestra, the Cycleon chief executive, said: “A presence in this region is a next step to accommodate the geographical expansion of our end-to-end returns management solution.

“Building on demands from clients with a global presence and the increasing need for a fit-for-purpose reverse logistics solution for companies based in the region, the set-up of a regional office was evident.”

Cycleon is part of German take-back and recycling company Reverse Logistics Group, but has its head office in Utrecht.

The firm says its proprietary returns management system means improved customer loyalty for its clients, including in the ecommerce sector and for end-of-life and product recalls.

Cycleon is now building a team of commercial, operational and IT specialists to support its growth in the Asia Pacific region, so that operations can be conducted in a more local time zone.

“Our solution has proven to provide clients with a hassle-free service that brings their cost of reverse logistics down and enhances their customer loyalty. Customers in the Asia Pacific can now benefit from this expertise,” said Hoestra.
