Posten signs general agreement with Sign On

Posten AB today announced that it has signed a general agreement with Sign On, a supplier of Internet-based electronic forms with electronic signature functionality. The agreement aims to deepen cooperation between the two companies both in Sweden and internationally. To strengthen the cooperation, Posten intends to acquire up to 10.1% of the issued outstanding shares of Sign On.
– The simplicity of Sign On’s electronic forms in combination with the security of Posten’s electronic IDs will make everyday life easier for many people. Sign On’s roughly 4,000 forms will also be a key element of ePostboxen, Posten’s new electronic mailbox. Our goal is to offer services ranging from rental agreements to income tax forms, says Lennart Grabe, President and CEO for Posten.
The agreement is expected to create some important synergies for both companies. Sign On’s shares have been listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange’s Nya Marknaden (“New Market”) since June 2000. Posten has announced its intention to acquire up to 10.1% of the issued outstanding shares of Sign On.
– To assure a successful venture, we have also chosen to acquire an ownership stake in Sign On, continues Grabe.
– Swedish Posten is an internationally recognized player in the field of electronic signatures. The cooperation with Posten enables us to offer our mutual services nationally as well as internationally, says Bosse Falgard, MD for Sign On.
