Post Office opens at railway station

The first post office on a railway station is set to open tomorrow (Wednesday) combining sales of stamps with rail tickets and other goods.

The new branch will open at Gillingham in Kent in partnership with train operator Connex South Eastern.

David Brodala, head of retail alliances at the Post Office, said: “Railway stations are a natural fit with our business, enabling us to provide an improved service to local people with access to a convenient post office branch and retail store with extended opening hours.”

The new branch will open from 0630 to 2030 most days and all-day from 0830 to 1900 on Sundays.
