Haiti – Dominican Republic: Signing of a postal bilateral agreement.

Modesto Guzmán, Director of the “Instituto Postal Dominicano” (INPOSDOM) announced that INPOSDOM and the Post Office of Haiti (OPH) have signed an agreement, for the delivery of parcels, documents and money through money orders bilateral. Mr. Guzmán explained at the signing ceremony, which was held in the conference room “Don Enrique Marchena” at the headquarters of INPOSDOM that this initiative will be benefit for the Haitian residents in the Dominican Republic, also stressing the also stressing theimportance of this agreement “The increase of operations, will allow the economic growth of both postal institutions.”

For her part, Ms. Regine Godfrey, the new Director General of Post Office of Haiti, welcomed the cooperation of the Dominican Republic with Haiti, adding that the two countries should work together to ensure that this type of service is faster and more efficient.
