IBM Corporation awards Maersk Logistics three-year contract
Maersk Logistics has been selected by IBM Corporation to enter into a three-year contract engaging Maersk Logistics to provide ocean freight forwarding services for the IBM Corporation. (3/25/2002)
Maersk Logistics has been providing IBM with varied ocean forwarding services between Asia and North America and the North Atlantic over the past five years. Now, IBM has awarded Maersk Logistics complete door-to-door services, due to Maersk Logistics’ strong global infrastructure and supply chain management experience.
Among the benefits that will be gained by the IBM Corporation, Maersk Logistics will provide IBM with comprehensive shipment visibility tools, a global network of offices, and dedicated employees to manage multiple IBM vendors’ merchandise flows into the IBM supply chain.
Mr. Anthony A. Chiarello, President of Maersk Logistics Inc. stated the following: “Maersk Logistics is proud of our relationship with IBM.
