Post Danmark to scrap express mail and Saturday deliveries

Post Danmark to scrap express mail and Saturday deliveries

Danish MPs have voted in favour of new proposals to scrap Post Danmark’s first-class mail service and end Saturday deliveries. Post Danmark currently offers an “A letter” service for next-day delivery, and a “B letter” service for delivery within three working days. The MPs also approved a measure to end the Saturday deliveries, which means that Post Danmark will now provide five mail deliveries a week.

The new measures have, of course, been introduced in response to the continuing decline in mail volumes and revenues.
