Faurecia awards contract to Geologistics

Faurecia Fotele Samochodowe Poland, seating division of international automotive component group Faurecia, has appointed Geologistics to undertake the warehousing and feeding of front and rear car seats to the Rover 45 production line at Longbridge, Birmingham. The contract will operate on an annual rollover basis and is anticipated to extend over the next eight years.

Seat units are brought in by trailer from Poland and delivered to GeoLogistics’ new centre at Garretts Green, Birmingham. From here, they are brought forward on a weekly call-off for daily delivery to the Longbridge plant.
