Kuehne & Nagel wins 5 year medical contract

Kuehne & Nagel has won a 5 year contract to act as operator at Fresenius Medaical Care Deutschlands new distribution centre in Gernsheim, Germany, currently under construction.
The centre is due for completion in April 2002 and will serve as warehouse and distribution centre for dialysis products and services in Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia.
Kuehne & Nagel will manage all logistics services at the site, including managing inbound and outbound goods, warehousing and commissioning and corresponding administration. The warehouse was built to specific requirements for Fresenius, has 32,000 pallets on 15,000 sq m in its first stage.
