Strike averted in Norwegian Postal Service

A strike in Norway’s postal service has been averted, after the parties reached a new wage agreement earlier today (14 May).
The new agreement means a 5% increase in postal workers’ salaries. As part of the deal the present pension arrangement will continue.
The threatened strike would have affected around 20,000 employees at the postal service, reports the Norwegian broadcasting service NRK.
