Palletways launch new depot in Benelux
Palletways has announced the launch of its new depot in Nijmegen as the demand for its services continue to grow across Europe, specifically in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. The new 52,400 sq ft facility is double the size of the previous depot and has been tailor made to suit the requirements of the network and its members. In addition to being significantly larger than the previous distribution centre, the new site offers a number of modern distribution concepts, including Palletways’ PORT system which tracks every individual consignment shipped through the network in real time. Further warehousing space has also been incorporated, with a second 9,000 sq ft warehouse adjacent to the distribution centre.
The new depot will also host a Palletways Fulfilment service – the first outside the UK – and will have warehousing capacity for around 1,500 pallets. Fulfilment allows customers to store their products in Palletways’ warehouses, with the ability to manage stock so that orders can be placed later for next day delivery.
