TNT wins two-year contract from Mexx

TNT has been awarded a two-year contract to provide international delivery services to the Dutch fashion company Mexx. The contract sees TNT transporting design samples (which are intended to test the designer’s idea or concept in the chosen fabrication) between Mexx’s suppliers in Asia and the Middle East and its Amsterdam headquarters.

Next to this, TNT transports sales samples from Asia to Mexx’s central distribution centre in Voorschoten, the Netherlands. From there, TNT ensures the next-day delivery of the sales samples to showrooms in Europe for presentation to retailers. The most important destinations are Germany, France, Belgium and the Nordics. TNT uses its European Road Network to carry most of the consignments across Europe.

Reliability, short lead times, the provision of a proven return solution and the choice of time-guaranteed express products influenced Mexx’s decision to select TNT.

Sjoerd Kampinga, Senior Purchase Manager Mexx: “TNT’s guaranteed delivery services and short lead times help Mexx Europe meet fashion seasonal deadlines and expand its competitive position. The control and visibility help us to focus on our core business. We are happy to have engaged a new partner who has confidence in this beautiful company and helps us meet our challenging objectives.”
