The designated postal operator, Zampost, is an organisation like no other and is deemed as the life and soul of communities across the country, as it plays a vital role in the delivery of public services. It is of no surprise that the increase in technology development and the use of the internet as a mode of communication has led to an alternative reduction in the need for the basic postal services such as posting letters through mail boxes. Subsequently, the tremendous reduction in the mail volumes had begun to take its toll on the financial viability of the postal operator.
Over recent years, Zampost has developed products and services which seem to be facilitating a gradually improved financial position for the operator, thus keeping the postal operators alive and playing an active role in the development of the country.
