AMI Quality Express launches a new web-based system

High-volume customers of express wholesaler AMI Quality Express can now offer international courier and heavyweight express services under their own brand name, but supported by real-time tracking information.
The company’s new online service, www. mywaybill. com, enables freight forwarders and express operators which ship more than 250 consignments a month to create barcoded air waybills in their own house style and carrying their logo.

The password-protected domain is designed to generate multiple air waybills quickly, with a batching facility which further streamlines the process when the pressure is really on. A sophisticated piece of programming ties shipper and consignee address books together, bringing additional savings.

“Add to this the automatic production of pro-forma invoices and directly connected track-and-trace, and we believe we have a product which will appeal to the widest industry audience, ” said AMI QE general manager David Hicks.

“No longer will forwarders or retail couriers be forced to use documentation bearing their supplier’s badge. www. mywaybill. com ensures high visibility for our customer base while we remain transparent.”

AMI QE and parent company Air Menzies International have 20 receiving centres across the UK and offer same-day and next-day services to major European and US cities.

Up to 25% of all air freight bookings are currently made with AMI over the Internet. Director Paul Williams said: “We are one of the few companies in the air cargo industry to have convinced customers to transact with us over the world wide web.
