UPS appoints new Global Director of Sustainability

UPS has appointed Edward Rogers as its new Global Director of Sustainability. Rogers succeeds Steve Leffin, who helped create UPS’s sustainability strategy and led a number of initiatives during his seven years guiding UPS’s Sustainability group globally. During this period, the company became one of the first US companies to meet the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 framework at the comprehensive level.

“UPS is committed to minimizing our environmental impact in every aspect of our service to customers,” said Rhonda Clark, UPS chief sustainability officer and vice president of environmental affairs. “We are grateful to Steve for his more than three decades of service to UPS and strong collaboration with environmental leaders around the world. Ed Rogers’ former role as global strategy manager and his new post as Global Director of Sustainability align perfectly and will help the company continue to implement industry-leading sustainability practices.”

Rogers joined UPS in 1994. In the corporate strategy group, he led projects related to strategic planning, enterprise strategy communication, corporate development, corporate venturing, sustainability strategy and enterprise risk management. He has served in various positions across UPS, including as an industrial engineering staff manager and as the industrial engineering manager for the Gulf South district.
