Indian start-up Parcelled raises funding

Indian online courier service start-up Parcelled has secured strategic funding from logistics firm Delhivery and Traxcn Labs. Founded by Xitij Kothi, Nikhil Bansal, Rikin Kachhia, Prateek Bhandari and Abhishek Srivastava, Parcelled will be using the funds to strengthen its technology, back-end and expand to at least eight cities in the next six months.

The company said that it was doing just 20 orders a day in April, but has now expanded to around 1,000 orders a day and has about 150 people operating in Bengaluru and Mumbai.

“We are thrilled to partner with Parcelled’s dynamic and talented team as it builds out a world class scalable platform that helps consumers simplify package movement,” said Ajith Pai,CFO, Delhivery.

Parcelled is already working with ecommerce delivery firm Delhivery as well as other courier partners including FedEx and DHL to ship the packages.
