German Parcel co-operation with E med transrapidus
E med trans rapidus, a logistics company based near Wurzburg (Bavaria) providing document and parcel services for public authorities and law courts, has braodened its co-operation with German Parcel, Neuenstein.
‘German Parcel took over the collection of prescriptions from pharmacies in February this year, while E med trans rapidus GmbH handles the data clearance with the accounting department for health insurance companies‘ explained Georg Manfred Kraus, senior manager of E med trans rapidus. ‘The trial phase went very well up to now and we ar looking forward to taking over the entire project in a few weeks.‘
Prescriptions will be collected 3 times a month from 7000 pharmacies all over Germany and brought to the central accounting centre in Munich. German Parcel predicts a volume of 250,000 consignments a year. E med trans rapidus manages the list of 7000 addresses and will take care of the financial side. Other projects in addition to the collection of prescriptions are already planned.
