FedEx reportedly in talks to buy Boeing 767 freighters

FedEx has been involved in discussions to buy more Boeing 767 cargo planes, according to unconfirmed reports on Bloomberg and other news agencies. FedEx, which is said to be the only current commercial 767 customer, could be looking to buy 25 more planes, according to Bloomberg sources.

Neither FedEx nor Boeing would comment on the reports.

“We constantly work on aligning our fleet plans with our business needs,” FedEx spokesman Jim McCluskey said by e-mail. “We have nothing to announce at this time.”
