Helicopter company uses NetDespatch

Radio controlled helicopter company Fast Lad is using NetDespatch to streamline its online order fulfilment processes by integrating the company’s online order data with its selected carrier, Royal Mail. According to Fast Lad, this has resulted in a significant reduction in administration work.

Founded in 2006 by radio control helicopter enthusiasts Jamie Renwick and Chris Walton, Fast Lad Performance is Europe’s fastest growing dedicated RC helicopter superstore and processes thousands of online orders every year for delivery around the world.

The NetDespatch Retail Solutions team worked with Fast Lad to implement a more efficient fulfilment and despatch operation. Sales order data from the company’s ecommerce website, Amazon and eBay is captured and processed through the secure NetDespatch servers, automatically producing the correct shipping labels, notifying the carrier that packages are ready to collect, and updating their Online Billing Account. Once packages have been collected, Fast Lad can track their delivery progress online.

NetDespatch is retained by postal and parcel carriers to provide shipping solutions for their customers through a secure web-based platform that automates the connection between order processing, despatch and delivery. There are no costs involved for installation, training or support, and the system is available instantly online.
