Wincanton announces B&Q contracts
Wincanton has been awarded a contract extension with B&Q for all of its kitchen, bedroom and bathroom (KBB) deliveries across mainland UK – and has also won a new contract to manage the retailer’s national distribution network. Wincanton has supported B&Q’s KBB operations in the Midlands region for the past three years and has now been awarded the national transport and final mile delivery contract for mainland UK.
This extension will see Wincanton manage the whole KBB delivery process including delivery directly to B&Q customers’ homes.
Meanwhile, the new national warehousing contract will see Wincanton take over the management of all six of B&Q’s distribution centres. Wincanton currently manages one of B&Q’s distribution centres and the new contract will see the addition of the remaining five.
