Curbside launches in New York and New Jersey

Curbside, the mobile shopping startup that allows consumers to shop from their mobile phones and pick up their goods from the curbside in front of the store, is now available in New York and New Jersey at 10 Target stores. Up until now, Curbside had only been available in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Commenting on the tie-up with Curbside, Casey Carl, Target’s chief strategy and innovation officer, said: “We know today’s consumers are looking for faster and more convenient ways to shop. That’s why Target is constantly exploring new ways to improve the shopping experience and save our guests time and money.

“Curbside has proven popular among our Bay Area guests, and we’re excited to expand the service to guests in New York and New Jersey.”

From the consumer’s perspective, the Curbside service is free, the app is free and the company does not mark up store prices.
