FedEx leases more land at Memphis hub

The Memphis Airport Authority board has approved plans by FedEx Express to lease more land near its world hub facility. According to reports in local media, the board give its approval on Thursday (20 August) for FedEx to lease plots of land that are not far from the FedEx Express world hub on Democrat Road. The company is looking to expand its footprint by about 20 acres.

The land in question was previously used for airport employee parking and rental car lots. Local media quoted a FedEx spokesperson as saying that the land will now be used to park FedEx Express tractor trailers.
